- Grand Prairie officers shot a man Saturday morning after he allegedly rammed their vehicles. Police responded to a report of a possibly intoxicated driver near the Northbound 161 service road and Arkansas Lane. A low-speed chase ensued down President George Bush Turnpike, and officers say Terry Darnell, 58, rammed multiple vehicles and attempted to force a police vehicle off the road. He was shot in the wrist and eventually surrendered. His injuries are considered non-life-threatening. (CBS Dallas / Fort Worth)

The City of Irving Landfill Manager Bill Sangster addresses complaints regarding strong odors in a statement at Irving Weekly.
