  1. In an effort to provide services for low- to moderate-income Irving residents, the City of Irving is seeking applications from nonprofit organizations and certified Community Housing Development organizations that support these communities. Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Apr. 1. and no late applications will be accepted. (Press Release Desk)
  2. On the lookout for a new home in the Irving area? As part of a collaboration with Redfin.com, Patch has brought you some of the newest and most interesting houses to hit the market in Irving and environs. This week, you will find homes in the area that range from $320,000 to $890,000. (Irving Patch)
  3. A man is standing trial for the kidnapping and killing of an innocent 13-year-old girl at a Dallas drug house. Darius Fields is charged with engaging in organized criminal activity that resulted in the death of Shavon Randle in June 2017. Fields was discovered at a Best Western Inn in Irving following Shavon's abduction. The prosecution is arguing Fields could be identified as the person who orchestrated Shavon's abduction.
