  1. More news about the police shooting in Arlington on Wednesday: Maria Guerrero reports witnesses' recollections of the moments following the death of Jesse Joseph Fischer, 40, over at NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth. Locals who were on scene say there were six bullet holes in Fischer's windshield and that police attempted CPR on the victim after he was shot.
  2. Check out the latest news from local movers and shakers with Dallas Innovates' roundup of recent North Texas hires and promotions. Irving professionals in the limelight this week include Kelly Burke and Steven Klingele, who were hired as associate brand director and director of research and analytics, respectively, for Avocados From Mexico.   3. The Lights Out Texas campaign wants you to give birds a break. The statewide effort, led by Texan By Nature, seeks to get locals to turn out inessential lights between 11:00 PM and 6:00 AM during the spring and fall migration periods.
