• Al-Noor Muslim Community Center opens free health clinic (elgincourier.com) — Leander residents now have another option for low-cost medical care through Al-Noor Muslim Community Center's expanding free and reduced-cost clinic network, which includes a Leander site alongside the new Manor location. The clinics offer primary and preventive care, prescriptions, imaging, and discounted lab and specialist services to patients regardless of faith or income, staffed largely by volunteers. 
• Gun groups use NFA injunction win to fuel membership drives (washingtontimes.com) — Leander briefly took center stage in a major gun-rights test when Gun Owners of America members lawfully bought suppressors at Silencer Shop in town without National Firearms Act registration. That purchase followed a Texas federal judge's limited injunction against NFA rules tied to now‑zeroed silencers and short‑barreled gun taxes, which gun-rights groups are using to recruit new members while federal agencies weigh an appeal.
