• Bond reduced for Lufkin cop accused of abusing Flock camera searches (kltv.com) — A Lufkin police officer accused of repeatedly misusing Flock license plate cameras to track his ex-girlfriend and others has had his total bond cut from $500,000 to $250,000 by a district judge in Angelina County. The 33-year-old Lufkin resident faces multiple felony charges, and his case is now moving forward after Monday's arraignment at the county courthouse.
   

• Art in the Park is Officially Back from Year #10 (ksfa860.com) — Lufkin families can mark their calendars for the 10th Annual Art in the Park at Jones Park on October 10, running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Neighborhood Strong is inviting local artists to showcase their work for free, giving kids and teens a hands-on way to experience painting, music, woodworking, and more from Deep East Texas creators.
   

• Truck show season unwinds in October; here's some of the last shows (truckersnews.com) — Truck and motorsports fans in Lufkin can look forward to Draggin' & Pullin' in the Pines at Pine Valley Raceway on October 16–17, one of the last big truck shows of the season.
