• Shreveport man faces 25 years in prison for violent carjacking and escape from custody (kedm.org) — A multi-agency manhunt for escaped inmate Tre'veon Jackson ended with his arrest in Marshall after a violent carjacking and high-speed chase in Louisiana. Marshall Police and the Harrison County Sheriff's Office joined federal and state partners in the search, and Jackson now faces up to 25 years in federal prison.
• Louisiana woman arrested for allegedly aiding escaped inmate in Texas (ktalnews.com) — Authorities say a Louisiana woman has been arrested for allegedly helping escaped inmate Tre'veon Jackson while he was hiding in Texas, including on the night he was captured in Marshall. Investigators allege she knowingly met him at least twice, brought their child to see him, and now faces an accessory to simple escape charge in Caddo Parish.
