• Council OKs plan for new data center (midlothianmirror.com) — Midlothian residents will see a massive new data center district taking shape after the City Council unanimously approved a multi-part development plan for nearly 400 acres on the city's south side. The project, led by Digital Ranch, includes three large data centers, on-site power generation, strict noise and setback limits, and a new municipal management district to fund key infrastructure without city tax abatements. 
• Illegal Alien Sentenced to 74 Months in Federal Prison After Seven DWI Convictions (offthepress.com) — A repeat DWI offender who was taken into custody at the Midlothian Police Department in 2025 has now been sentenced to more than six years in federal prison for illegal reentry. Federal officials say the case, tied to multiple drunk-driving convictions and prior removals, is part of a broader North Texas crackdown on repeat immigration offenders.
