Boy, 10, Dies In Manor Crash

Late morning incident occurred along the 11300 block of North SH 130 service road heading northbound, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.


AUSTIN, TEXAS — A ten-year-old boy died in a multi-vehicle traffic wreck Saturday morning in the north part of the county.

The incident occurred along the 11300 block of North SH 130 service road, according to Austin-Travis County EMS medics in a tweet posted just after 11 a.m. The crash occurred along the eastbound service road as it intersects the State Highway 130 southbound service road near Manor.

The boy, later identified as Luis Angel Tinoco, was pronounced dead at the scene. Three additional victims were treated at the scene before refusing transport to the hospital. Austin medics and police officers responded to the call just after 10:30 a.m.

It's unclear what led to the accident, but the area was beset by heavy rain that began in the early part of the morning on Saturday that wreaked havoc throughout the region. The wreck caused significant traffic delays as investigators assessed the scene before the area was cleared.
