2 Men Drop Off Gunshot Victim At Austin Hospital, Quickly Depart

AUSTIN, TX — Police are seeking help from the public in identifying two men who dropped off a gunshot victim at a hospital early Saturday.

Officers were called to Dell Children's Hospital, 4900 Mueller Blvd., just after midnight, and were advised two Hispanic men had carried another Hispanic man suffering from a gunshot wound into the emergency room. The two men then left the scene without providing information about the incident, police wrote in a press advisory.

Police noted the gunshot victim remains in critical condition. In their advisory, police suggested the three men are friends, and they urge the two men who dropped off the patient to reach detectives. Surveillance camera images were released in the event someone might recognize the two men and alert police as to their identities.
