This marks the second time in recent months that a student has brought a BB gun to school. In late January, school officials confiscated the same implement from a student's backpack in Round Rock.

In that incident, Stony Point High School principal Anthony Watson also sent a letter to parents about the incident. He said the student would face disciplinary action as a result, but didn't specify.
