Man Dead, Woman In Critical Condition After North Austin Shooting
Incident along 6700 block of Guadalupe Street just before 8 p.m. was second shooting of the night in Austin on Wednesday night.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — A shooting in North Austin on Wednesday evening has left a man dead and a woman suffering life-threatening injuries, emergency officials said.
According to news reports, the shooting occurred outside a fire and safety equipment business in the 6700 block of Guadalupe Street just before 8 p.m., near the intersection of Lamar and Airport boulevards. According to the Austin American-Statesman, police found a male victim on the ground next to a pickup truck that a witness told officers worked at the establishment.
Via Twitter, Austin-Travis County EMS medics said the woman was rushed to Dell Seton Medical Center in critical condition.

Police have no suspects, and ask those with information related to the shooting to call 911 immediately.

This was the second shooting in less than two hours in Austin. At around 9:30 p.m., a man in his 4os was left critically injured after being shot in East Austin. That second shooting occurred along the 2200 block of East Cesar Chavez Street, also on Wednesday night.
