Pedestrian Struck, Killed In North Austin
Man in his 30s pronounced dead at the scene along 6100 block of North I-35 in second such death to happen in Austin on Saturday morning.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle early Saturday morning along Interstate 35.
The victim, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene along the 6100 block of North Interstate 35, near U.S. 290. The stretch of roadway was closed for a prolonged period of time following the incident to accommodate a police investigation before being reopened.

It's unclear if the motorist faces any charges in the incident. Patch will update if more details are made available.
The incident marked the second pedestrian death to occur in Austin on Saturday morning. Some three hours before the man was killed in North Austin, a woman in her 30s was found dead along the 8100 block of Interstate 35 after being struck by a vehicle in South Austin.
