- Due to inclement weather and dangerous road conditions predicted this week, the Pflugerville Independent School District (PfISD) has decided to cancel all classes on Thursday, Feb. 3 and Friday, Feb. 4. Tamra Spence, PfISD Chief Communications Officer, announced it through the district's website and said, "that district officials will continue monitoring weather and road conditions." She added, "If there is any change to the school schedule on Friday, we will communicate with our families and staff via phone call, email, text messages, and social media." - In honor of Black History Month in February, several local organizations in Pflugerville and surrounding areas will be holding celebratory events. "From educational art exhibitions to a sip and shop market," there's something for all. - On Tuesday, Feb. 8, the Pflugerville City Council will have a 7 p.m. meeting at 100 East Main Street, Suite 500 to consider the following ordinance: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PFLUGERVILLE, TEXAS ADOPTING THE PFLUGERVILLE FEE SCHEDULE; AMENDING CERTAIN FEES AND ESTABLISHING COSTS AND FEES CHARGED BY THE CITY OF PFLUGERVILLE; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY FOR A VIOLATION OF §10.99 OF THE CITY CODE OF ORDINANCES; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE."
