Pflugerville Council To Discuss Interim City Manager Search

Brandon Wade's departure to take another job heightens need to fill slot; members also to discuss adding 780-plus acres to water utility.

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — Pflugerville City Council members will discuss the search for an interim city manager along with a proposal to add nearly 800 acres into the Lakeside Water Control and Improvement District among other matters at their Tuesday meeting.

Up to 782 acres of land are targeted for inclusion into the Lakeside WCID No. 5 or into as many as two future control and improvement districts or municipal utility districts (MUDs).

Also up for discussion is the city's search for an interim city manager. The former city manager, Brandon Wade, resigned the post this past December to take a job at the Gulf Coast Water Authority. The utility provides water for industry, agriculture and municipalities in Brazoria, Fort Bend and Galveston counties — including to more than 185,000 customers in Galveston County alone, according to information found on its website.
