Pflugerville Implements Stage 2 Water Restrictions

Residents are allowed to water their lawns no more then twice per week as part of the municipal municipal Water Drought Contingency Plan.

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — City officials have implemented mandatory Stage 2 water restrictions as part of the municipal Water Drought Contingency Plan.

As a result, officials said, residents are allowed to water no more than twice per week at their home. Addresses ending with an odd number may water on Wednesdays and Saturdays while residents at homes ending in even numbers may water on Thursdays and Sundays. There is no watering allowed on Mondays, officials stressed.

Commercial facilities — civic, commercial, industrial and institutional properties, apartments and condominiums and the like — may water on Tuesdays and Fridays, city officials said.

Watering must be done before 10 a.m. and after 7 p.m. in order to maximize water conservation. Thank you for helping conserve water, officials added. The water restrictions were implemented on March 1 before this week's Central Texas weather forecast that calls for possibly substantial showers starting late Tuesday.
