Police Release Photo Of North Austin Bank Robbery Suspect

A surveillance camera image of the man who passed a note to a teller before fleeing with cash on Saturday has been released to the public.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — Police on Monday sent out a request to the public in helping to identify a suspect in a credit union robbery that took place over the weekend.

On Saturday, Dec. 16, at around 1 p.m., a man entered the Austin Telco Credit Union along the 13800 block of North U.S. Highway 183 northbound service road. The suspect passed a note to the teller demanding money before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash. He was last seen walking westbound from the location.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident, and no weapon was displayed.

Police have now released an image showing the suspect in the hopes someone might recognize him and alert them as to his identity and/or whereabouts. He's described as a white male between the ages of 25 to 30 standing six feet tall and weighing 150-160 pounds. He has a thin build, with reddish-brown hair that is likely a wig and a short goatee. The suspect was last seen wearing a brown sport coat, maroon button-up shirt, brown hat, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.
