Police Release Sketch Of North Austin Aggravated Assault Suspect

Incident dates to Oct. 7 along 8300 block of Spicewood Springs Road where victim injured after agreeing to sex with suspect at greenbelt.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — Police seek help from the public in locating a suspect in an aggravated assault case last week, releasing a sketch of the suspect to that end.

The incident dates to Oct. 7 along the 8300 block of Spicewood Springs Road. The victim, a woman in her mid-20s, agreed to meet with the suspect at the greenbelt entrance at around 12:30 p.m. before the two had consensual sex in a the wooded area off the greenbelt path.

During the intercourse, the suspect allegedly assaulted the victim, leaving her with non-life-threatening injuries before she was able to get away and call 9-1-1. Police describe the suspect as a Caucasian man between five feet, eight inches and six feet tall and weighing about 160 pounds. He has dark eyes, dark wavy hair, a large mouth, yellow teeth and speaks in a soft voice. He was last seen wearing dark clothing and carrying a black backpack.

Austin Police Department released composite sketch of suspect in an aggravated assault case.

Police noted an older-model, silver car was seen in the area just before the time of the assault,but it's unknown if the vehicle is related to this case.
