UPDATE: Police on Friday, May 10, said two more suspects connected to a shooting death at a Quality Inn at North Austin have been identified. The Lonestar Fugitive Task Force arrested Timothy Bowie on Friday in Sweeny, Texas. Additionally, Roosevelt Haynes is in custody at the McLennan County Jail, police said. However, police continue to ask for the public's help in locating the person described below as a "person of interest" in the case.

AUSTIN, TX — Police are seeking help from the public in identifying a "person of interest" in connection to a homicide that took place at a hotel in North Austin earlier this month while offering a reward for information leading to arrests in the case.

On Sunday, May 5, just after 8 p.m., police responded to 7928 Gessner Dr. after a call of shots fired at the Quality Inn Hotel there. Upon arrival, police found Jannerra Williams, 28, mortally wounded. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:31 p.m.

On Thursday, police released surveillance camera footage of a "person of interest" in the case with hopes someone might recognize them and alert as to his whereabouts. Moreover, police are offering a $1,000 reward for information from tipsters that leads to an arrest in the case.

Those with information are asked to call ATX Crime Stoppers at 512-472-TIPS. Other ways to contact police: Text "Tip 103" and the information to CRIMES, use the new Crime Stoppers App or email APD Homicide at homicide.apd@austintexas.gov. AUSTIN, TX — Police seek help from the public in solving a homicide case that took place over the weekend in North Austin.

Police on Sunday responded to 7928 Gessner Dr. just after 8 p.m. amid reports of shots fired at the Quality Inn Hotel. Upon arrival, police found a fatally wounded 28-year-old man who was pronounced dead at 8:31 p.m. Police are working to notify the next of kin before releasing his name, according to a press advisory.

Homicide interviewed several witnesses at the scene, and continue to follow up on leads. Based on information gathered at this point, the shooting appears to be an isolated incident. The Travis County Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to make an official ruling on the cause of death today.

The was the second fatal shooting to occur in North Austin over the weekend. Police on Saturday, May 4, responded to 13601 Elm Ride Lane just before 2:15 a.m. amid reports of multiple shots fired at the Madison at Wells Branch apartment complex. There, they found Tony Ray Green, 22, unresponsive with his body riddled with trauma wounds. Despite life-saving efforts, Green, also an African American man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
