Public Meeting Scheduled To Address North Austin School Threats

Reagan High School parents invited to attend Tuesday, April, 17, meeting at 5:30 p.m. in Performing Arts Center at 7104 Berkman Drive.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — Austin ISD officials have scheduled a public meeting this evening to address multiple recent threats that have been made against Reagan Early College High School, including one reported on Monday.

To date, three unspecified threats have been made against the school at 7104 Berkman Dr. in Northeast Austin, officials said. A letter reportedly was sent to parents addressing the latest threat made on Monday. Classes operated on a normal schedule on Tuesday despite the most recent threat, but police presence has been bolstered at the site as an added precaution, officials said.

On Monday, classes at Reagan High School were scheduled on a two-hour delay in the wake of the latest threat against the campus in order to accommodate a police investigation. Police later issued an all-clear after finding no threat on campus. Monday's threat followed one that one was the previous Wednesday.
