SH 130 Near Pecan Street Reopened Following Fatal Crash

Roadway was closed for hours to accommodate a police investigation after a multi-vehicle, morning wreck that left a person dead.

PFLUGERVILLE, TEXAS — State Highway 130 around Pecan Street has been reopened after an hours-long closing following a fatal traffic accident earlier in the day.

Police sent out a notice of the roadway's reopening just after 9:30 p.m. on Thursday. The roadway was closed to accommodate a police investigation for nearly 12 hours after a multi-vehicle traffic wreck at around 10:15 a.m. That exceeded earlier projections of a road closure that would last between six to eight hours.

Police confirmed a person died in the pileup that involved three large trucks and the same number of passenger vehicles. No further details have been disclosed. For more details, read earlier story below:
