Woman Arrested In Connection To North Austin Fatal Shooting
Autumn King, 20, told police she accidentally pulled the trigger while she posed for a Snapchat photo, killing boyfriend Eric Charles Allen.

PFLUGERVILLE, TEXAS — A woman has been arrested for homicide after accidentally shooting her boyfriend while posing for a Snapchat photo and inadvertently firing the weapon, police said on Tuesday.
The incident occurred on Dec. 23 just before 12:34 p.m. at 12507 Rampart St. Autumn King, 20, told police her boyfriend, Eric Charles Allen, 26, was holding up her phone to take an image of her holding a rifle pointing directly at him to be posted on Snapchat. King accidentally pulled the trigger, she told police, killing Allen.
Police noted there were two small children in the residence Allen and King shared at the time of the shooting. The Travis County Medical Examiner ruled the cause o Allen's death as having come from the gunshot wound, leading to the homicide charge for King, police said in a news advisory.

Police originally didn't know who killed Allen when he was first found dead two days before Christmas last year, they suggested in an earlier press advisory (see related story above). It wasn't until Monday, Jan. 14, that police located King and subsequently arrested her, police explained in their follow-up advisory.
