Pasadena Police Identifiy Suspect Involved In Shooting
Angel Ramirez, 18, of Houston, is charged with aggravated assault on a public servant after he allegedly pointed a pellet gun at police.

PASADENA, TX — A man who police said exchanged gunfire with them earlier this week, has been identified and faces criminal charges.
Angel Ramirez, 18, of Houston, was arrested at about 7:30 am Monday after officers said he fired at them and led them on a short manhunt.

The incident was first reported as an armed robbery near the Walmart in the 5200 block of Fairmont Parkway.

Police now say that occupants of a home in the 5200 block of Keith Avenue called police and reported a man they didn’t know ringing their doorbell.
When police got to the area the saw the man, later identified as Ramirez, and followed him has he jumped a fence at a nearby apartment complex.
An officer followed Ramirez,and approached him in his patrol car.
The officer is seen in video calling Ramirez over, and then pulling his weapon and firing four shots.
The officer said Ramirez pointed a gun at him.
The officer missed and Ramirez eluded police, which led to a delayed start to three Pasadena ISD campuses.
Ramirez was caught at about 7:30 a.m. at a clinic in the 5000 block of Sam Houston Parkway after a witness reported seeing him.
Police said Rameriez had two pellet guns with him when he was arrested.
He is in the Harris County Jail, charged with aggravated assault against a public servant.
