Seven Free Flu Shot Clinics Are Coming To Collin County (localprofile.com) — Free flu shot clinics are coming to several Plano locations this fall, offering no-cost vaccines to residents ages 9 and older regardless of insurance. Sites include CityBridge Urgent Care, Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, and the Islamic Association of Collin County, with additional dates in Allen, Frisco, and Princeton. Plan to arrive early, as doses are first-come, first-served.

Meridian Capital Group arranges $29.65 million construction loan for single-family residential development (nyrej.com) — A new 48-home single-family community is moving forward at 2601 East Parker Road in northeast Plano, backed by a $29.65 million construction loan. Phase one will cover site work and the first 30 homes, reflecting strong demand for new housing in one of the Dallas–Fort Worth area's key employment centers. Residents can expect more residential growth in this part of town.
   

3. Inside Barclay Berdan's Last Big Decision (dmagazine.com) — Hospital expansions now underway in Plano mean more capacity and services for local patients as Texas Health Resources continues growing across North Texas. The story profiles outgoing CEO Barclay Berdan's four-decade career, his crisis leadership during Ebola and COVID-19, and the transition to new CEO Winjie Tang Miao, who will guide the system's next phase of regional growth.
   

4. High school volleyball area rankings (9/9): Allen, Plano Prestonwood Christian stay at No. 1 (dallasnews.com) — Plano volleyball fans can see exactly where local powerhouses stand in the latest area rankings, with Allen still No. 1 in 6A after sweeping Plano East and Prosper, and Plano West slipping after a five-set loss.
