Round Rock Teacher Had Oral Sex With Student: Affidavit
Randi Chaverria, 36, resigned from her post as a teacher and turned herself in to cops on Tuesday.

ROUND ROCK, TX - New information sheds light on accusations of an inappropriate relationship between a Round Rock High teacher and one of her students. Randi Chaverria, 36, turned herself into police Tuesday after being charged with an improper relationship between educator and student, a second-degree felony.
According to a report in KXAN, the student told police Chaverria called him on several occasions and had sexual contact with him, which included performing oral sex on the student, documents cited by the news station show.
Text messages between Chaverria and the student support the account given by the student, the KXAN report says.

School officials said Chaverria resigned from her teaching position following the allegations against her.
Chaverria was a Round Rock High School family science teacher and had been teaching for a little more than five years. Last year, she was named '2019 Secondary Teacher of the Year' at the district's annual banquet.
