Round Round Girls Who Were Kidnapped On Road To Recovery

Lawyers representing girls' interests say their medical, dental needs being addressed as efforts continue to find them permanent home.

ROUND ROCK, TX — Attorneys representing the interests of two girls found safe following their kidnapping after their mom was found slain provided an update on the children's well-being on Wednesday.

The attorneys told KVUE the girls are generally well since being placed in foster care, although one of them is having trouble sleeping after their ordeal. The 14- and 7-year-old girls were taken to Colorado by their mother's roommate, Terry Allen Miles, 44, before police located them. The girls' mother, Tonya Bates, 44, was found dead in her Round Rock home prior to Miles' flight.

Now that the girls are safe and sound, efforts are being made to meet their medical and dental needs and finding them a more permanent home. Several people have expressed a desire to gain custody of the children, including one of the father of one of the girls.
