• Some reported crimes slightly decrease, despite increase in enrollment (universitystar.com) — Texas State’s latest safety report shows several crime categories, including aggravated assault, alcohol and drug violations, rape, and stalking, have declined on the San Marcos campus even as enrollment and on-campus housing grew. Motor vehicle thefts, especially scooters and e-bikes, increased, and new hazing statistics are now tracked. The university cites policy changes, patrols, and daily monitoring to improve campus safety.
