- The Trader's Village, located at 9333 Southwest Loop 410, will have a special guest this weekend! Singer Adassa, who does the voice of Dolores in the movie "Encanto" and "sings in the chart-topping song 'We Don't Talk About Bruno,'" will be there for a meet-and-greet. "Adassa is an Afro-Latina Colombian reggaeton singer from Miami" who "provides the whispery, ASMR-like vocals in the ensemble hit song with the lyrics 'Grew to live in fear of Bruno stuttering or stumbling, I could always hear him sort of muttering and mumbling, I associate him with the sound of falling sand.'" The singer will be there on Saturday, March 12 from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday, March 13 from 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m. "Encanto" fans will also have an opportunity to purchase autographs for $40, selfies for $20, and keepsakes for $60. - On Tuesday, March 8, City of San Antonio officials held a ribbon-cutting event at Martin Luther King Park to celebrate the park's "completion of improvements" that were "part of the 2017 bond project." Improvements include "a new pavilion with attached bathrooms, new paved trails, additional parking, a splash pad that will open at a later date, and a new art piece called 'Spheres of Refection' by local artist, Kaldric Dow." - San Antonio artist Colton Valentine created a mural of a little refugee girl wearing an army helmet with her sleeves colored to represent the Ukrainian flag, however, "the child's heart-shaped hands are the focal point of the piece." Valentine said the inspiration came to him when he saw pictures of the crisis in Ukraine and watched the news with his son. The artist hopes that his creation will inspire love during these difficult times. The mural can be seen on San Pedro Avenue, close to San Antonio College or by visiting: (KENS5.com)
