Here are the top stories in San Antonio today:

  1. "After a two-year hiatus" due to COVID-19, Fiesta San Antonio is coming back this year! The 10-day celebration will begin on Thursday, March 31 and will continue until Sunday, April 10. Mark your calendars and "check out the event list" to plan your fun Fiesta schedule and Viva Fiesta! For "a list of numbers-based Fiesta facts" visit: (KSAT San Antonio)
  2. When gas prices went up, San Antonio rapper artist King Kyle Lee decided to give "back to the community by paying for gas for those who could use a helping hand." He started out by surprising individuals at gasoline stations and then looked for people in need through social media. That's when he found "Priscilla Maldonado, a mother of three, who was laid off from a factory job and found new work," but it paid much less and was farther from home. Although Lee helped her by filling up her tank with gas and "business is good for him now," it hasn't always been easy. He said, "In order to live here and be an artist, I had to sleep in my car. I was homeless." He added, "There 'was' people that helped me. There 'was' people who opened up their home for me. There 'was' some people who gave me some money." To help Lee in his effort or to submit the name of someone in need, please get in touch with Lee on social media via Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. His accounts can be found under "King Kyle Lee" or you can also email him at contactkylelee@gmail.com. For more details visit: (KSAT San Antonio)
  3. The San Antonio Mac and Cheese Festival will be held on Saturday, April 30 at the Historic St. Paul Square. Guests will have an opportunity "to sample from local restaurants, vendors, and food trucks from around the city as they show off and showdown for the best Mac in town!" The mac and cheese pros will be competing for the People's Choice category, and finally for the Judge's Choice, so be sure to vote for your favorite chef at the festival!
