Here are the top stories today in San Antonio:

  1. If you're looking to adopt a new pet, there are several animal shelters in San Antonio that have animals that are available for adoption, and Petfinder can help you find that "fur-ever" friend. According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, every year "over 6 million companion animals are taken in each year by adoption facilities nationwide," but only about half are adopted. 2. Bakerly LLC, "known for its French-style bread and pastries, plans to construct a $35 million production center in Southeast San Antonio." Through this expansion, the business, co-founded by French natives Fabian Milon and Julien Caron, will hopefully bring more jobs, investment and new economic activity to the city. Tom Long, industrial greater: SATX and economic development managing director, said, "Bakerly's investment in San Antonio is just another addition that has made the city a more appealing home for many food and beverage manufacturers." 3. A new pop-up photography exhibition from SATX Social Ride biking group opened on Friday, Feb. 25, and it will be on display until Saturday, Feb. 26 at the Dry Goods building located at 107 North Flores St. The exhibit features photos of SATX cyclists, mostly taken by local cyclist and photographer Dan Rosales. Jeff Moore from SATX Social Ride said, "We're going to have approximately 150-200 portraits hanging in that wonderful space." He added, "We'll have a few collages. We'll have a DJ, a bar."
