- During the 1990s, Fat Tuesday, the global daiquiri company located at 111 West Crockett was a popular downtown spot until it closed down in 2005. The company returned to the San Antonio scene in December 2021, but at a new location at "The Shops at Rivercenter and in February 2021 at a store on Bandera Road. However, now the venue is "going back to where it all began," as a new location is going to open later this year at its original location at 111 West Crockett, along with 2 other new Fat Tuesday locations in town. - Earlier in the week, "the largest regional conference on water, featuring the greatest minds from the water and wastewater industries," took place in San Antonio." Among the many topics of discussion was the drought, and how it has affected the city. For one thing, there is a big possibility that "San Antonio will enter Stage 2 water restrictions," according to the San Antonio Water System (SAWS). This means that shorter watering hours will be allowed. For a news video regarding the conference with information, please visit: (KSAT San Antonio)
