'I never envisioned that I'd have a home like this': Injured Marine veteran receives mortgage-free San Antonio home (kens5.com) — A San Antonio-area firefighter and Marine veteran who lost his leg in Afghanistan just received a mortgage-free, specially adapted home designed for his accessibility needs. Built by Homes For Our Troops with local support, the house gives his family more space and safety while encouraging other injured veterans in San Antonio to seek out similar resources without guilt.
