  1. People from San Antonio will get "a chance to support the city's homegrown taprooms, brewpubs and breweries" during "the 16th Annual American Craft Beer Week" happening from May 16-22. Despite the fact that "the craft brewing industry was decimated by the COVID-19 pandemic," the Alamo City was fortunate "that most of its longstanding local breweries weathered the storm." The Brewers Association reported that "Texas is now home to 406 craft breweries," and "recent BA reports show that the craft brewing has an annual impact on the Texas economy of more than $5 billion." For a list of "20 San Antonio breweries you should support" and for event details visit: (San Antonio Current)
  2. Theater lovers will be excited with the new list of productions scheduled from late 2022-early 2023 at the Tobin Center, located at 100 Auditorium Circle. The list includes "Tootsie," a "Legally Blonde" musical and more National Geographic talks." To add to the excitement, "Grammy-winning classic rock group The Doobie Brothers, joined by Michael McDonald, will stop by the Alamo City as part of their ongoing 50th anniversary tour on Oct. 8." They were "recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame" and will "be headlining the Tobin's fall benefit concert." Tickets start at $99 and can be purchased at the box office or by calling 210-223-8624. For a list of theater productions with details and dates, please visit: (KENS5.com)
  3. Hogwild Records, "one of the oldest standing records stores in San Antonio" located at 1824 N. Main Ave., "celebrated its 40th anniversary" on Tuesday, March 1. The store founded and owned by Dave Risher opened in 1982 when he was in his twenties, and to this day, he "still oversees operations," while "longtime manager Steven Alejandro" is still managing the store where he has worked at "since the 1980s" when he was 17 years old.
