Buttercup Creek Attempted Sexual Assault: Police Release Image of Person of Interest
Police find video of this man in the area of last Thursday's attempted sexual assault.

After uncovering a video, Cedar Park police are searching for a person of interest in the burglary and attempted sexual assault that took place Thursday in the Buttercup Creek Boulevard area.
The man they are looking for was nearby at the time of the break-in, police said in a statement.
The man is not being treated as a suspect, but police believe finding him will help their investigation.

“The image sent out today is only for a person of interest – this individual is not currently being considered a suspect nor do we know whether he was even involved in the incident,” Tara Long, a spokeswoman for the Cedar Park Police Department said in an email statement. “We only know that he was in the area at the time of the event so we are eager to identify him so we can talk with him further.”

Since the break-in first occurred last Thursday, police have determined that the sexual assault of the resident was the motive. Police have yet to determine whether a sexual assault occurred, as they are still investigating.
