Deworming Drug Flying Off Shelves Amid Coronavirus Surge

With COVID-19's fourth wave, more Americans have been turning to ivermectin, a cheap drug that kills worms and other parasites in humans and animals.

Louisiana and Washington issued alerts after an uptick in calls to poison control centers. 2-Year-Old Girls Injured In Coyote Attack

Authorities in a Massachusetts town are advising people to keep up their outdoor activities, despite two girls being attacked by coyotes over the holiday weekend.

"Spend time outdoors," Arlington health officials advised after two girls, both age 2, were injured in separate attacks.

"Coyotes generally try to avoid humans, and their natural fear is reinforced when play areas, back yards and trails are actively used by people," officials say. 'The Wire' Actor Dies In NY High-Rise

Michael K. Williams, known for his role of Omar Little in "The Wire," was reportedly found dead Monday afternoon in his penthouse apartment. He was 54.

The actor and producer was nominated five times for Emmys.

Women Seeking Abortion In Texas To Be Protected

After a law tightening abortion regulations in Texas took effect Wednesday, the U.S. attorney general issued a response Monday.

The Texas law bans abortion after six weeks of pregnancy, an issue federal prosecutors say raises constitutional issues.
