'Doing The Right Thing’: Cuomo Resigns As New York Governor

ACROSS AMERICA — After months of controversy and a week following the release of an explosive new report, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo resigned Tuesday following accusations that he sexually harassed multiple women.
He will leave office in 14 days, he said. Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul will replace Cuomo.
"Given the circumstances, the best way I can help now is to step aside,” Cuomo said. "Doing the right thing is doing the right thing for you."

Cuomo continued, calling this "one of the most challenging times for government in a generation.”
