ACROSS AMERICA — DoorDash delivery drivers across the country are pushing back in what appears to be the first organized strike in the company’s history.

After mobilizing on social media platforms like Reddit and Facebook, many delivery drivers are expected to strike Saturday while calling for higher base pay and tip transparency from the company. The strike isn’t affiliated with a specific organization, according to a report from Vice.

Due to recent pay cuts, many DoorDash drivers earn as little as $2 per hour before tips. Drivers are now calling for a base pay of at least $4.50 per order.
