ACROSS AMERICA — It was all planned out: Hannah Ernst and her grandfather would walk across the Brooklyn Bridge this year for their family's annual excursion. Despite their plans, the journey never happened.

In May, 83-year-old Cal Schoenfeld, who had been the picture of perfect health, died of COVID-19.

She lost her grandpa but Ernst, a New Jersey teen, plans to walk across the bridge in her grandfather's honor. Except now, hundreds of others will join her. Read the full story via Parsippany Patch

Through Sickness And Health

While the Cape Wildlife Center in Barnstable typically doesn't allow patient visitors, the staff made a heartwarming exception this week when they heard a tap-tap-tap at the clinic door.

Inside was Arnold the goose, who was getting ready to undergo surgery. Outside was his mate, agitated that she couldn't get inside. Still, she refused to leave.
