U.S. Advises No Travel To China As Death Toll Rises: Report

The advisory comes after the World Health Organization declared a global health emergency in response to the coronavirus outbreak in China.

The United States government is advising people not to travel to China as the death toll from the 2019 Novel Coronavirus reached 213 people, according to reports. The advisory comes the same day the World Health Organization declared a global health emergency in response to the outbreak.

In a notice posted on its website, the department said: “Do not travel to China due to novel coronavirus first identified in Wuhan, China.” The advisory raised the level for China to the same level as Iraq and Afghanistan.
