Coronavirus Declared A Global Health Emergency By WHO: Reports

The purpose of the vote by the World Health Organization is to help potential spread of the virus in countries with weak health systems.

The outbreak of the fast-spreading and deadly 2019 Novel Coronavirus prompted the World Health Organization Thursday to declare a global health emergency, according to reports.

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said the declaration is not a vote of no confidence in China, but rather a response to how the virus is spreading in other countries and could spread in countries with weak health systems.
