Trump Tells French President U.S. Withdrawing From Iran Deal: NYT

WASHINGTON, DC — President Donald Trump has told French President Emmanuel Macron that the U.S. will withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal, a person briefed on the conversation told The New York Times.

The report says the U.S. will reinstate all sanctions it had waived as part of the Obama-era accord, the report said. More economic penalties are also expected to be imposed.

Negotiations collapsed when Trump insisted that sharp restrictions be kept in place regarding the country's nuclear fuel production after 2030. Those limits were lifted in the current deal.
