Movement, Rhythm + Voice is a guided, holistic experience that invites the release of tension, reconnection to the body, and the awakening of joyful expression through breath, rhythm, sound, and symbolic movements. Rooted in seasonal cycles, the practice welcomes all emotions and celebrates the vitality of being alive. Repetition and rhythm support a deep, embodied experience, while live drumming grounds the journey and connects the group to a shared heartbeat. Inspired by the intercultural approaches of Katherine Dunham and Herns Duplan, the session blends accessibility, intention, and play. No prior experience is needed. This special workshop honors all mothers, on Earth and in memory, and brings all generations together in a space of connection, celebration, and shared energy. Join New Normal Boston on Tuesday, May 12th at Porter Square Books - Seaport Edition for Laughs for LUCE, a comedy fundraiser for the Immigrant Justice Network of Massachusetts.
This is the second in New Normal's "Laugh Hard, F*** ICE" show series, pairing comedy with crucial fundraising in collaboration with Boston-area independent bookstores.
