Before coming to Patch (see my welcome video to learn more), my work was published with Human Rights Watch, the San Francisco Bay Guardian, Santa Cruz Sentinel, Diablo magazine, California Watch and News21, a new media incubator funded by the Carnegie Corporation of New York and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.

I am a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, where I earned a bachelor's degree in art history and master's degree in journalism with an emphasis on new media.

My favorite Danville activities are buying produce at the Saturday Farmers Market, drinking a cappuccino (or watermelon mint cooler) at Sideboard and taking dance classes at Two Left Feet studio.
