The 68th&nbsp;Annual <a href="https://wihs.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Washington International Horse Show</a>&nbsp;(WIHS)&nbsp;returns to the Washington DC area this October 19-25 at <a href="https://www.pgparks.com/facilities/showplace-arena-at-pgs-equestrian-center" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">The Show Place Arena</a>, Prince George's Equestrian Center (PGEC) in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.&nbsp;&nbsp;This prestigious fast-paced and fun event has been an equestrian tradition since 1958, with more than 500 of the top national and international horses and riders coming together to compete in seven days of thrilling competition, entertaining exhibitions and&nbsp;special events for the whole family. There are many opportunities for fun and competition throughout the week, including:&nbsp; &nbsp;OPENING NIGHT SALUTE TO SERVICE- Thursday, October 22 (6:30pm)
<ul><li>&nbsp;A special night recognizing the service and sacrifice of the U.S Armed Forces. The centerpiece of the evening is a competition with a special American Flag jump, if cleared raised funds to support the mission of Tragedy Assistance program for Survivors (TAPS), a national nonprofit organization providing compassionate care and comprehensive resources for all those grieving the death of a military or veteran loved one.&nbsp;</li></ul>
 BARN NIGHT: STAR SPANGLED WIHS - Friday, October 23 (6:30pm)&nbsp;
<ul><li>Barn Night will start with the new WIHS Pony Jumper Championships, followed by crowd favorite, WIHS Shetland Pony Steeplechase and International Jumper Accumulator Costume Class. Top riders go wild with fun and surprising costumes for both horse and rider!&nbsp;</li><li>WIHS is continuing the “<a href="https://wihs.org/kind-wins/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Kind Wins</a>” initiative that brings an inspiring anti-bullying movement from Sweden to the U.S., supported by Friends, a Swedish anti-bullying organization. With guidance from the WIHS Junior Committee, “Kind Wins” will be promoting positivity, good mental health and preventing bullying.&nbsp;</li></ul>
 FREE KIDS EVENT - Saturday, October 24 (10:00am - 1:00pm)
<ul><li><a href="https://wihs.org/kids-day/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">WIHS Kids' Day</a><a href="https://wihs.org/kids-day/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener"> </a>is a free, fun, family-friendly event. Children participate in hands-on educational and fun activities, including pony rides, coloring station, face painting, pony brushing lessons,&nbsp;a horseless horse show with an opportunity to jump courses on foot and win ribbons, a pony kissing booth, carousel rides, plus special guest horses, ponies, and more.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul>

Our 5th annual Oktoberfest &amp;&nbsp;Crafts outdoor event. This is a fundraiser to support homeless programs in Fairfax County. Regular admission includes brats, hot pretzels, root beer floats and other great food. Adults over 21 may also purchase a beer ticket including sampling of 6 different home brews, plus a few local IPAs. Local crafters will be there along with live music performances from Stone Middle School and Jubilee Performing Arts.&nbsp; There will be art activities and games for kids. Test your knowledge with the annual Trivia event!&nbsp; Don't forget our Cake Walk with awesome prizes!&nbsp;
All-inclusive tickets are $25.00 for adults drinking beer; 
$15.00 over 18 and non-beer drinkers 
$10.00 for under 18 
Children 4 and under are free!&nbsp;
