Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran

Are you a pet or animal lover? Whether you share your home with a furry, feathered, or finned companion—or simply appreciate the joy animals bring—Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church invites you to a special Blessing of the Animals on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 10 AM.
The blessing, led by Pastor Jack DiMatteo, will take place rain or shine in the church parking lot. All animals—leashed, crated, or caged for their safety—are welcome. As part of the celebration, attendees may enter a free drawing for a dog or cat gift basket, and both pets and their humans will enjoy complimentary treats.
This cherished event commemorates the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, a tradition dating back to the Middle Ages. Known as the patron saint of animals, St. Francis rejoiced in the beauty and value that animals bring to God’s creation.
All pets are encouraged to bring their humans! We look forward to welcoming you and your beloved companions at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, located at 246 Woodport Rd., Sparta, NJ.

Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran, 246 Woodport Road, Sparta, NJ, USA

Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church invites the community to its annual Fall Vendor &amp; Craft Fair on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 10 AM to 3 PM. This festive event will feature a wide variety of vendors and artisans, offering unique gifts, handmade crafts, seasonal décor, and more. Vendor and craft tables will be located both indoors and outdoors on the church grounds, creating a welcoming experience for all attendees.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the day, and admission is free. Children can enjoy a special Kids’ Corner
featuring face painting, crafts, and more! It’s the perfect place for children to play, create, and make lasting memories while families explore all the vendor fair has to offer.
“Shepherd of the Hills has a long-standing tradition of reaching out to the local community and beyond,” said Pastor Jack DiMatteo. “The Vendor &amp; Craft Fair is one of the many ways we come together, fostering unity and connection while ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all.”
