Author Patricia Gercik has written extensively on communication and building trust between Japan and the West. Her workshops and writing are dedicated to enhancing understanding and communication between these two nations. Gercik directed the MIT Japan Program for over two decades. Her best selling book "On Track With The Japanese" has been used by business professionals. Most recently, Gercik published the novel "The Outsider" set in chaotic postwar Japan. This coming of age story describes Japan's change and quest for world prominence even as it mourns its traditions and past.
