Raissa Frenkel, Neighbor

Raissa Frenkel is a Jacksonville-based business leader and academic. A storied and determined individual, Raissa's expertise in the fields of business, philanthropy, and energy have made her career successful.

Raissa started out teaching at the Kazan Finance Institute in Russia after earning her Ph. D. at the school. She cherished her time there, serving as the Political Economy Department Chair. Later, she and her husband, Lazar Finker, were invited to serve as visiting professors at Florida Community College. They enjoyed their experience so much that they chose to stay in the United States.

Raissa Frenkel's business pursuits eventually led to her, along with Lazar, founding Forum Capital Group, a global private equity firm specializing in real estate and seafood. Raissa is often traveling when not in Jacksonville, and treasures the time she spends with her family. Because of this, she has dedicated her life to passing on a tradition of giving and philanthropy through the Finker-Frenkel Legacy Foundation. The Foundation is dedicated to creating a community of like-minded philanthropists dedicated to causes such as medical research, religious development, and children's welfare. Raissa Frenkel is proud of the accomplishments of both the Foundation and her family members, and looks forward to do more good in the future.
