Join 48 Blocks Fine Candy for our final Makers Matinee pop-up of the season this Saturday, June 13, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. We are opening our manufacturing studio (on the Falls Church/Tysons border) for a morning of fresh coffee, premium sweets, and community.
We are thrilled to be collaborating with our friends at Cafe Medrano, an exceptional family-owned Honduran coffee roaster. They will be in the studio pouring fresh, artisanal small-batch coffees—the ultimate pairing for our confections.
Inside the Studio Experience:
<ul><li>🎬 Live Demos: Step behind the scenes and watch how our small-batch confections are crafted.</li><li>😋 The Solstice Edit Tastings: Enjoy free samples of our artisan marshmallows (The Assets) and vibrant vegan pâté de fruit (The Prisms).</li><li>👋 Meet the Team: Chat flavor arbitrage with our Principal Curator and say hello to our new interns!</li><li>🎁 Father’s Day Stock-Up: Our gourmet marshmallows make the perfect luxury gift for Dad. Because our local studio pickups will be limited during our summer residency, this Saturday is your chance to get your favorites.</li></ul>
The event is completely free and open to the public, but claiming a slot helps our tiny studio team map out exactly how many fresh samples to prep.
Bring a neighbor, grab an incredible cup of coffee, and shop the studio before we go dark for the summer!

On Wednesday mornings at 9:30, everyone is invited to come and play! Current preschool families and neighbors&nbsp;will gather on the playground for featured art and STEM activities!
This is a wonderful opportunity to meet other families and introduce your child to the grounds - natural play area, play structures, gardens, and outdoor classroom - which are special places for them. These spaces offer your child a safe place to wonder, discover, and explore while increasing their confidence and independence as they transition to begin the new school year.
Families interested in registering for the upcoming 2025-26 school year are invited to learn more and meet the Director. Classes for 2's, 3's, and 4's are offered for mornings and all day. Good Beginnings, a class for children and their caretaker,&nbsp;is offered for children 1.5 years - 2.5 years.&nbsp;We look forward to meeting you!
