Take a step toward better health and connect with others! This free, community-friendly walking program brings people together in a relaxed and supportive environment. Each gathering is simply a comfortable walk you can enjoy at your own pace. After our walk, all are welcome to stay and have coffee together.
Everyone is welcome, all ages, abilities, and fitness levels. Each session lasts about 45 minutes and is designed to help you move, breathe and enjoy meaningful conversation along the way. It’s a wonderful way to stay active, connect with neighbors and make new friends.

If the last couple of weeks are any indication, summer is arriving early in McLean. After a cool and wet spring, the recent stretch of warm temperatures has many families thinking about pool days, summer activities, and how they want to spend the months ahead. With Fairfax County schools preparing to wrap up for the year, now is the perfect time to make plans for a summer filled with recreation, friendship, and community. The McLean Swim &amp; Tennis Association (MSTA) is currently welcoming new members and, unlike many area clubs, we have both Equity and Seasonal Rental Memberships available with no waiting list. Located in the heart of McLean, MSTA offers a family-friendly environment where members can enjoy swimming, tennis, social events, and a strong sense of community throughout the summer season. For families looking to keep children active during the school break, MSTA is home to the McLean Marlins Swim Team and offers opportunities for swimmers of all experience levels. Whether your child is just learning the fundamentals of competitive swimming or is looking to continue developing their racing skills, there are opportunities to participate and grow in a supportive environment. In addition to swim team activities, MSTA hosts summer swim camps and tennis camps that help children stay active, build confidence, and make new friends during the summer months. These programs are designed to be fun, engaging, and accessible to a wide range of ages and skill levels. Good Beginnings at Redeemer Renaissance Preschool

Come and play! Register for Tuesday classes! The first class is October 13th at 9:30 AM. During the 2026-27 school year, except during the month of December, Good Beginnings participants will come together twice per month October - May. This Redeemer Renaissance Preschool class, led by a teacher, welcomes toddlers and caregivers to promote a sense of wonder, discovery, and exploration while providing a fun introduction to preschool and our curriculum. Children will build their first friendships and work with new materials as they engage in open-ended play in a safe, developmentally appropriate environment. During exploratory play, caregivers will have the opportunity to discuss topics of interest and create bonds that will help them navigate the early childhood years and beyond. Register now for the 2026-27 school year! Serving families in our community since 1962, Redeemer Renaissance Preschool provides premiere early childhood education for children ages 1.5 - 5 years old. Classes for 2's, 3's, and 4's are offered for mornings and all day. Good Beginnings, a class for children and their caretaker, is offered for children 1.5 years - 2.5 years. Children learn and flourish as they wonder and learn, building a foundation to ensure their success through use of the Creative Curriculum, vetted by the Virginia Department of education. The curriculum is play-based and with nature-based components incorporated, promotes healthy development in children as they discover and explore in our outdoor natural play area.﻿﻿ Small classes led by experienced teachers can be found singing, jumping, building, making friends, painting, writing, counting, and observing chickens hatch as one of their STEM projects in the Learning Lab. Days when the weather is too cold or rainy find classes in the full-size indoor gym and fellowship hall. Children find joy in activities such as riding trikes, building with large manipulatives, designing and testing obstacle courses, running, throwing balls, and playing games. Families of preschoolers are partners with staff, engaging with their child's teachers and attending events for children and families scheduled throughout the school year.
