SJK Public Relations, LLC is the brainchild of Shirley Kennedy. After getting directly involved with some of the contestants on American Idol (2005) as a freelance writer, Shirley felt a strong desire to work in the music industry as a publicist. She was later recognized in the liner notes on Elliott Yamin's debut CD and has forged ahead with her freelance public relations, booking, and band management boutique firm.

The firm has been on hiatus but is currently working on promotions for some local bands and venues.
