📰 News we're reading

• Arches sees busiest April since 2021 in first season without timed entry (moabtimes.com) — If you’re heading to Arches from Moab, expect bigger crowds but smoother entrance lines this spring, and consider buying your pass at the Moab Information Center first. Timed-entry reservations are gone for 2026, so NPS is relying on real-time traffic tools, temporary parking closures, and off-peak visit recommendations to manage congestion at Delicate Arch, The Windows, and other hot spots.

• Euaclaire Releases New Single + Video 'Changing' (godtube.com) — A new single by alternative-indie band Eauclaire was partly inspired by their experience at the Heaven on Earth Festival in Moab where it was also partially recorded. The song, “Changing,” explores faith, hardship, and personal growth, and will appear on their upcoming third full-length album due in August.

• In Memory of John West (moabsunnews.com) — Moab is mourning John West, a longtime resident, Grand County employee, teacher, and community volunteer who passed away May 27 at age 73. Raised and educated in Moab, he worked at Allen Memorial Hospital, taught music in local schools, and was active in theater, Rotary, river marathons, and church service. A private family gathering has already been held.
